1. Breastpump if you’re still breastfeeding- I would usually bring my manual Out & About Avent set only as my Medela PISA was too heavy to bring. I’m certainly looking at investing in a Medela Swing too! Hehe.
2. Bottles to use with the breastpump, obviously. Hehe.- I would usually bring 2 9oz bottles as I usually collect about 20oz or 24oz after a long day.
3. Bags for your EBMs- This is of course according to the type you prefer as well as how long you will be away. I prefer storing my EBMs in glad freezer packets at 4oz each. I usually pump 40oz the first few days, diminishing to about 28oz – 32oz the last day. Hehe. So, I usually pack 10bags for each day.
4. Marker pen- to write the date on the bags!
5. Bottle washing liquid
6. Bottle brush
7. Sterlising equipment- Again, this is up to you. I used to bring sterlising tablets and a container. Now, I just bring a container and boil some water in the room.
8. Breast pads- If you’re working or even on holiday, your pumping time maybe restricted. Don’t forget the pads! Haha.
9. Cooler box/ bag- To transport your EBMs back with you. You might want to get a smaller cooler bag as well so you can separate the frozen and the chilled ones.
10. Techni Ice/ Dry Ice- To keep the EBMs frozen/ chilled. I use techni ice in my cooler box. However, for any EBMs that I carry on board with me, I’ve once asked for dry ice and few times, the crew assisted in storing my EBMs in their freezer.
11. Cellotape & Brownpaper- Or any other wrapping paper. I used these to wrap my cooler box just so it looks decent as well as to avoid breaking the handle.
